Although their origin is Korean, their name on all official non-Japanese advertisements and merchandise is scripted as "TVXQ", the Chinese counterpart of their name. It is roughly translated as "Gods Rising from the East" in all three languages.

Although he may look manly and strong on the outside...inside he is the caring and soft "father" of Jae Jung, Yu Chun, Jun Su, & Chang Min. He was given role as leader because Jae Jung (oldest member) was too shy. Jung Yun Ho was dicovered in a dance competition. When he told his parents he wanted to become a singer his parents gave a total shutdown but that didn't stop him. Yun ho kept on practicing singing...one day his father saw him practicing singing, saw how good he was and how hard he practiced...he finally gave Yun Ho approval.

Kim Jae Jung is the feminine side of pop sensation boy band Dong Bang Shin Ki/ Tong Vfeng Xien Qi/ Tohoshinki. When you first see Jae Jung, you see this cold person..but once you get to know him he is very caring and like a mother. Jae Jung grew up with 8 sisters, which caused him to be soo feminine and caring. He is the best cooker in DBSK...the others always enjoy his food and even bought him a apron for his birthday this year 2008 so he can cook for them. He was discovered for his great vocals. He is like a mother to the rest of the members because he cooks for them and is always concerned about them. When he told his parents he wanted to be a singer they only were concerned a little bit but still approved right away!

Park Yu Chun is the dandy boy in pop sensation boy band Dong Bang Shin Ki/ Tong Vfeng Xien Qi/ Tohoshinki. In the 6th grade Yu Chun immigrated to America...America was the country of hopes and dreams...to him and his family it was different. Him and his family went to lots of hardships, his parents divorced, his family had a money problem which started Yu Chun to take up many side jobs which was difficult because of the language barrier. He was discovered in America and was sent to SM for training. After coming back to Korea he lost his english..but is still good at pronouncation...little by little he is improving his english vocabulary so he can be fluent again. His parents didn't have any disagreements with Yu Chun becoming a singer.

Kim Jun Su is the cute side of pop sensation Dong Bang Shin Ki/ Tong Vfeng Xien Qi/ Tohoshinki. At debut he was given the sexy side of dong Bang Shin Ki but when he made the cute face of an Angel in one of the extra videos..he was no longer looked at as sexy but cute and pure like an angel. The other members says he no longer has his charisma but fans disagree they think he is cute and has great charisma. The members also make fun of his english pronouncation. He is also known for is Oyaji gags. He is also called dolphin because he can make a sound like a dolphin. His childhood dream was to be a soccer player (he was in love with soccer and still is) but it changed to becoming a singer. He was discovered for his great voice and dancing. Shim Chang Min started out as the cute side of pop sensation boy band Dong Bang Shin Ki/ Tong Vfeng Xien Qi/ Tohoshinki...but lost it because of Jun Su. He started working out and matured a lot. Although he is the youngest he has the deepest thoughts and is the tallest. He used to be known as the food god. He is also known for his unique eyes...when he smiles they aren't in the same place. The others think he is weird because he can sing in both low and high tones. He may not look like an athletic guy but is very athletic, fastest runner in DBSK, and his best subject in school is P.E. Chang Min had his motivation to become a singer when he was flipping through the channels and hear the song Color Of Love by Boyz ll Men. There is saying that his parents wouldn't let him be a singer unless he could also have goods grades which caused him a lot of of stress but finally his mother realized, told Chang Min's father and let him become a singer...that is false...his parents never disagreed.
